Australian CEO Excellence Awards 2026 | 16 The personal touch that links disability support services with the people who need them most, All About You Disability Support Pty Ltd specialises in expert care for NDIS-funded participants. The company’s work covers everything related to in-home, high-care support, from simple tasks like daily living assistance and managing the home to transport, days out, and more. Allison Cosgrove is the woman behind this company, and following her recognition in this programme, we spoke with Allison for more on her work. Disability Support Leader of the Year 2026 (South East QLD): Allison Cosgrove All About You Disability Support (AAYDS®) is a family-operated NDIS provider operating out of Moreton Bay, Queensland. Covering all aspects of disability support across the region, the company may have only began in 2020, but its foundations can be traced back much further. Founder Allison Cosgrove spent years working in Australia’s disability sector, and saw for herself the many issues of the systems and the devastating impact inadequate support can have. One particular individual, May, was the catalyst for AAYDS. May had been mistreated, neglected, and ultimately failed by those whose job it was to keep her safe. She needed a level of care that was beyond a standard service, and people who truly understood her as somebody deserving of a life filled with dignity, joy, and opportunity. Allison fought for May when nobody else would, and when that fight became too big for her to handle on her own, AAYDS was born, built on the principle that everyone deserves not only support, but the right support. “Support from the right person can be the difference between good support and great support.” Equally as crucial was the team behind it, all of whom should match the personality, needs, and goals of the individual in question. This is why AAYDS would strive to go beyond just sending workers and instead build comprehensive support teams, foster companionship, and stand for real progress. It was all going very well, until it quickly wasn’t. Just as AAYDS was taking its first steps towards better disability support, Allison suffered a personal battle that nearly took her life. A major health crisis left her needing three major operations, after which she spent two months in hospital, three more months in bed at home, and reliant on support for basically everything – including a stoma that she was learning to live with. During this time, Allison nearly lost it all, her business included. Instead of giving up, Allison channelled the resolve that had led to her starting AAYDS in the first place and fought to rebuild her company to be even better, if not for her then for all of the people she knew were receiving lacklustre care on a daily basis. Today, AAYDS fights for every person who deserves care, compassion, and respect, promising to match participants with the right team, empower them with real choices, and be there simply because it cares deeply. Standing as a testament to the power of compassion, integrity, and genuine disability care, AAYDS works with more than 25 participants across Moreton Bay and beyond, delivering its blend of supported independent living, one-onone community/in-home support, and accessible transport services. Allison and her team cover everything from personal care and domestic assistance to gardening/ maintenance, meal prep, and much more. Although May is no longer with us, passing a few days after Christmas in 2024, her spirit lives on in everything that Allison and the team here do, and this award-winning support leader is excited to announce that AAYDS is only just getting started. Its commitment to making someone’s day better sees its service raise the bar for NDIS providers in Moreton Bay, and the team Allison has built are all equally dedicated to providing meaningful and compassionate support that empowers people with disabilities at every turn. On the back of the inspirational journey she has been on and the grit she has continued to show, even in the face of great adversity, it is our absolute pleasure to recognise Allison Cosgrove with the title of Disability Support Leader of the Year 2026 (South East QLD) as part of our Australian CEO Excellence Awards this year.
