Façade Renewal Innovators of the Year 2026 Façades play a critical role in building performance, safety, and long-term durability, particularly in complex and high-exposure environments. Effective remediation and preventative maintenance are essential to protecting asset value and reducing risk. Here, we explore PRA Façade Upgrade’s specialist service pillars and its innovative approach to façade remediation and maintenance, as recognised in the Australian Enterprise Awards 2026. As a specialist provider of highaccess façade maintenance and remediation services, PRA Façade Upgrade has become a well known enterprise in its region of Western Australia. The company operates at the intersection of certified trade expertise and advanced industrial rope access, and its clients can rest assured that they are in good hands. “Our core mission is to deliver non-intrusive, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions that ensure the structural integrity and aesthetic longevity of commercial and residential assets.” – Yoann Mercier, Managing Director AIS-Nov25320 PRA Façade Upgrade operates under two clearly defined service pillars. The Façade Remediation pillar includes concrete repair, caulking, glazing, and painting, delivering comprehensive structural and aesthetic repairs carried out by multi-skilled rope access technicians experienced in complex access environments. The Preventative Maintenance pillar focuses on façade cleaning and detailed inspection and reporting, providing proactive services that support long-term building performance and durability. Effective façade maintenance is essential for all buildings, regardless of age, scale, or use. Beyond appearance, façade condition directly influences building safety, weather resistance, and operational efficiency. Through planned cleaning and detailed inspections, PRA Façade Upgrade supports informed asset management, reduces the risk of unplanned repairs, and enables building owners to make proactive decisions throughout the life of the structure. Technical excellence and industry leadership are not the sole focus of PRA Façade Upgrade. Alongside delivering specialist façade remediation and maintenance services, the company is committed to supporting the wider Western Australian community through practical social and environmental initiatives. As Yoann shared, “We actively use our business, people, and networks to contribute positively to the wider community and environment. Environmental responsibility is a core focus of this commitment.” A key part of this approach is PRA Façade Upgrade’s ongoing support of a tree planting initiative in Australia. For every project undertaken, the company funds the planting of a tree, directly linking its operations to tangible environmental outcomes. Since its inception five years ago, this initiative has contributed to the planting of over a thousand trees across Western Australia. Yoann proudly explained, “This has created a measurable and ongoing environmental impact directly linked to our operations.” “PRA Façade Upgrade is committed not only to technical excellence and innovation, but also to making a meaningful and lasting contribution to the communities and environments in which we operate.” In addition, the team participates in selected social, environmental, and mental health

Australian Enterprise Awards 2026 | 9 initiatives throughout the year. Together, these efforts reflect a culture grounded in responsibility, awareness, and genuine giving back, reinforcing PRA Façade Upgrade’s commitment to creating positive impact within the industry and the broader community. This culture is upheld by a team committed to long-term success, both for PRA Façade Upgrade and for the clients, communities, and environments the business positively impacts. Integrity, accountability, and the ability to work effectively as a team sit at the core of how PRA operates. Alongside this, the team shares a strong awareness of community and environmental responsibility, which continues to shape the way the business grows and delivers its work. When hiring, PRA Façade Upgrade places strong emphasis on attitude, character, and attention to detail, alongside technical expertise and experience in façade remediation and maintenance. The company looks for individuals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes. As Yoann explained, “Our recruitment process is designed to assess how individuals think, communicate, and engage with others, as well as their ability to operate safely, responsibly, and collaboratively in demanding environments. We look for people who take pride in their work, care about the outcome, and are motivated to contribute positively to both the team and the client experience.” Once onboarded, team members are actively supported through ongoing training, structured development pathways, and a strong focus on collaboration and professional interaction. This approach helps individuals build confidence, improve wellbeing, and continue developing their skills over time. Yoann added, “In addition to our internal Façade Repair Academy, we regularly invest in external professional development, including leadership and management programs delivered by recognised institutions such as the Australian Institute of Management and other industry-specific training providers. This ensures our team is exposed to best-practice thinking, strong leadership frameworks, and skills that support both personal growth and organisational performance.” By consistently investing in its people, PRA Façade Upgrade maintains a delivery model built on quality, accountability, and innovation. The team works together in a professional yet down-to-earth manner, enabling reliable outcomes across complex and technically demanding projects, while reinforcing the company’s strong reputation within the industry. All team members are encouraged to continue learning and developing within their specific areas of expertise. This makes PRA Façade Upgrade an environment where individuals can take ownership of their career progression while remaining part of a supportive team that values client satisfaction, environmental responsibility, and social awareness. By bridging the gap between traditional rope access delivery models and the practical requirements of high-quality façade remediation, PRA Façade Upgrade ensures access capability and workmanship remain aligned across all projects. Where formal trade qualifications apply, tradecertified personnel are engaged. In areas where no formal trade certification exists, team members are trained to an equivalent standard through structured internal programs, supervision, and continuous skills development. This approach supports consistent workmanship, accountability, and long-term excellence across all façade remediation and maintenance activities. Through its selective recruitment process, commitment to training, and ongoing investment in advanced access technology, PRA Façade Upgrade continues to safely deliver larger, more efficient, and less intrusive façade projects than traditional access methods would typically allow. PRA Façade Upgrade is the first and largest adopter of power ascender technology in Western Australia. The company upholds its reputation through clear communication, accountability at every stage of delivery, and a consistent commitment to delivering work to the highest standard. Yoann said: “PRA Façade Upgrade operates at the forefront of industrial rope access innovation. We combine advanced access methodologies with disciplined project execution, robust quality controls, and a strong focus on outcomes. This approach bridges the gap between traditional rope access models and the practical requirements of high-quality façade remediation, ensuring access capability and

workmanship standards are aligned rather than treated as separate disciplines.” “Our aim is to be a trusted long-term partner for our clients by delivering façade solutions that protect asset value and reduce risk. We focus on non-intrusive, efficient, and highquality outcomes, while keeping safety, innovation, and integrity at the core of everything we do.” Working with a diverse client base across construction, government, healthcare, and commercial property sectors, PRA Façade Upgrade has built a reputation for innovation, fairness, and reliability. The company collaborates closely with clients to tailor solutions to site conditions, technical requirements, and budget constraints, delivering practical outcomes that support long-term asset performance. Looking ahead, PRA Façade Upgrade is focused on strengthening its position as a specialist provider within the façade remediation and high-access sector, while continuing to contribute to longer-term improvement across the Australian trades industry. The company’s future direction centres on capability development, responsible technology adoption, and steady growth built on consistent delivery rather than rapid expansion. Key priorities include advocating for greater recognition of industrial rope access as a skilled discipline, continuing to invest in advanced access technology, expanding community and environmental initiatives, and reinforcing PRA Façade Upgrade’s role as a trusted partner for complex and technically demanding projects. Together, these efforts reflect a clear and purposeful approach to long-term growth that balances innovation with responsibility. Yoann added, “Our long-term goal is to build on the success of our internal Façade Repair Academy and use that experience to advocate for the formal recognition of Industrial Rope Access as a certified trade in Australia. Alongside this, we will continue to invest in cutting-edge access technology that supports safer, more efficient, and higher-quality project delivery. “We will also continue to expand our community and social responsibility initiatives, using our business, people, and networks to support projects that create positive impact. At the same time, we remain focused on delivering consistent, highquality outcomes. By continuing to invest in capability development and forming strategic partnerships, we aim to remain a trusted provider for complex façade projects across commercial, industrial, and public-sector environments.” PRA Façade Upgrade has continued to strengthen its position within the industry since the business was established, with

Australian Enterprise Awards 2026 | 11 its approach closely aligned to key market trends. As regulatory scrutiny increases and urban access constraints become more complex, PRA Façade Upgrade offers a safer, less intrusive, and more efficient alternative for delivering technically demanding façade works. With growing demand for power ascender technology, the company has not only implemented these systems at scale but has also actively contributed to their practical development through real-world application. Committed to continual improvement, the PRA Façade Upgrade team designs, fabricates, and deploys custom access solutions, including specialised personal work platforms and task-specific systems that integrate directly with power ascenders. These solutions are developed to address unique site conditions and project requirements that standard access systems cannot adequately support. In addition, the business has established a formal partnership with a leading power ascender manufacturer, positioning PRA Façade Upgrade as the exclusive service provider and reseller for their technology in Western Australia. Yoann added, “This role extends beyond equipment supply and includes technical implementation, servicing, operator support, and the development of project-ready access solutions.” Transforming challenges into opportunities, PRA Façade Upgrade is shaping not only the buildings it works on, but also a more responsible and sustainable approach to façade renewal, remediation, and building maintenance, across Western Australia. PRA Façade Upgrade keeps its fingers on the pulse of the industry while doing all it can to set the bar high and carve out new trends. This has won the company respect, recognition, and a plethora of accolades. Yoann enthused: “PRA Façade Upgrade has been recognised at an industry level through multiple Master Painters WA Awards. In 2024, we were awarded Best Textured Coatings Roll and Spray Application Open Value and named finalists for Commercial Repaint Value Over $100,000. In 2025, we were awarded Industrial and Protective Coatings Open Value and again named finalists for Commercial Repaint Value Up to $100,000. These acknowledgements reflect the quality, consistency, and technical standards delivered across our projects.” It has never been easier to find award-winning façade remediation and maintenance in Perth and, here at APAC Insider, we wish PRA Façade Upgrade every bit of success as it continues to add value to its industry, deliver excellence to its clients, and preserve and protect the environment. For more than 50 years, family-run A1 Discount Chemist has been situated on 44 Georges River Road and a staple within its beautiful, multicultural community of Croydon Park. The pharmacy offers a wide range of services, such as prescriptions, vaccinations (including home vaccinations), health checks, medical consultations, nutritional advice, and more – making customers feel good for less. We speak to Owner, Dina Salib to discover what makes A1 Discount Chemist the best pharmacy in Croydon Park. Dina Salib hails from Egypt, where she grew up and both of her parents are pharmacists, saying, “You can say that pharmacy is in my blood. My dad was a pharmacy owner and a branch committee of the pharmacy council of our town, my mum was a hospital pharmacist and later on she has become a pharmacy inspector. “I have learnt from my dad what customer service can be, how to walk second mile to your patients, I remember so well patients was coming mid night so desperate for medications ringing our door bell asking for dad’s help as they can’t find the medicine in the hospital or even doctors ring dad in the mid of the night for an emergency medications for surgical procedure. “My dad used to go and open the pharmacy midnight so he can supply them what they need, and from a very early age I have learnt all the community work. Therefore, the award I have won is an award for my dad too.” Today, she operates her business, A1 Discount Chemist in Sydney, Australia, and her passion for her work and customers truly shines through. Her personality, her smile, and her outstanding level of service ensure a warm welcome to all, for an enjoyable, knowledgeable service that leaves a lasting impression and keeps them coming back time and again. “Upholding reputation is such a tough job,” she acknowledges. “The only way to keep the reputation is via respect, patience, and empathy, continuing to be visible and approachable. Since I have bought the pharmacy, I have always been approachable and visible, maintained integrity and transparency, while teaching my team to follow the same pathway and creating a positive workplace culture.” She points out that the pharmaceutical industry is a tough one, believing that the only way to succeed is by staying persistent and going above and beyond to increase customer loyalty. She advises, “Always believe there is a light at the end of the dark tunnel, and with every challenge there is an opportunity to learn and grow and increase resilience.” Indeed, managing the pharmacy hasn’t come without its challenges. Despite it having been in the same place for over half a century, Dina reveals that people who have lived in the area for a long time didn’t even know there was a pharmacy there before she owned it, due to its quiet, non-central location in Croydon Park. Those who did attend the Best Community Pharmacy 2026 – Sydney & Business Resilience Excellence Award 2026

Australian Enterprise Awards 2026 | 13 our community. They always greet me with a smile, remember me by name, and take the time to check in on how I’m going. No question is ever too small, and they explain things in a way that makes me feel reassured and support. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness have made such a difference for me and my family. It’s not just about filling prescriptions – it’s the comfort of knowing you’re being looked after by someone who truly cares. I couldn’t ask for a better local pharmacist. Dina and her staff are amazing.” Ultimately, it’s easy to see how A1 Discount Chemist has seen such success in this year’s Australian Enterprise Awards. From its astonishing resilience and transformation to the world-class level of service it tirelessly delivers, it is truly in a league of its own. Thus, we are keen to find out what’s next for the pharmacy. Dina shares, “The pharmacy will be relocated to a bigger premises, where it’s going to be like a community hub or health hub, where we might be able to get a doctor, or have a little café inside the pharmacy. There is another project I am working on with a specific health organisation, but that’s to be kept confidential for now!” This all sounds very exciting, and we can’t wait to witness the unfolding of these plans and the continued success of A1 Discount Chemist into the future. Company name: A1 Discount Chemist Website: www.a1discountchemist.com.au pharmacy experienced extremely poor levels of customer service, and this came with equally poor business management. Thus, when Dina took over the pharmacy, she set about completely transforming the place for the better, breathing new life into it and establishing its presence so it couldn’t be missed by locals, while forging a solid reputation for exceptional service – making A1 Discount Chemist the local pharmacy of choice for many. “With all the challenges of our industry, the only winners are not the pharmacists who are standing like robots behind the dispensary, but the ones who are the heart of their community,” Dina says. “The only winners are those who are obsessed with their customers and I am one of those.” When asked to tell us more about the pharmacy’s internal culture, she reveals, “I truly believe that when you hire staff, you hire them for their personality not their skills. Personality and culture value comes first, then you can teach them the skills. I look for humble, mature, responsible, committed, and hard-working people.” She continues, “My internal culture is that we are one family. It’s not a boss and employee; it’s a leader and a team. I hate being called ‘boss’ and I always tell my staff I am not a boss. I lead the place as I am the owner, but I am not better than anyone or higher than anyone, and maybe my team will have a talent in something I don’t, so I will learn it from them.” As a result of this supportive, non-hierarchal approach, Dina continues to nurture a team that feels appreciated, respected, valued, and like the workplace is their second home. “They will definitely work from their hearts and that will contribute to the business growth,” she comments. Furthermore, Dina is focused on training the next generation of pharmacy students, inviting them to take on work placements to gain valuable real-world skills and experience. Dina and the team at A1 Discount Chemist are committed to delivering a range of highquality services that help enhance quality of life for each customer. This includes general health services, with customers able to take advantage of the pharmacy’s partnerships with health providers – a podiatrist, naturopath, gout specialist, and diabetic foot clinic specialist – to complement their daily health regimes. Then, there are health services specifically tailored to women – covering areas such as the emergency contraceptive pill and urinary tract infections (UTIs) – and men – covering areas such as erectile disfunction – where individuals can gain expert advice on any concerns they have. The pharmacy goes further still, offering not only medicines, but also a variety of handpicked beauty and cosmetic products for purchase, although with limited floor size, From make-up to natural skincare, A1 Discount Chemist stocks beauty products designed for those who have skin sensitivities or are looking for a more natural way to take care of their skin. It is also in the process of upgrading its online shop, so customers can browse and buy their favourite products online, with convenient next-day delivery or click and collect. But it doesn’t end there; the pharmacy will be introducing more services for sleep apnoea, a diabetes clinic and ear piercing. As a result of its gold standard product and service offering, A1 Discount Chemist enjoys a glowing five-star rating on Google. One delighted customer comments, “I feel so lucky to have such a caring pharmacist in

Being a CEO means different things to different people. For Di Geddes, stepping into the role of Founder and Director of Exceptional Care For You (ECFY) was never about following a traditional playbook – it was about creating one that reflected her values, her life experience, and her vision for care. Coming to the role later in her career, Di knew exactly what she didn’t want to be like, but it took time and courage to decide who she was as a leader and how she wanted to be seen. Her story is far from the typical corporate climb, and that’s what makes it extraordinary. A New Chapter Begins Di started her professional journey nearly forty years ago as a registered nurse. After decades of caring for others, starting her own company was a bold leap, especially with no safety net. But this wasn’t just a business decision; it was the beginning of a new life. Following a 21-year marriage that left her with little sense of self-worth, a painful divorce, and the loss of her parents, Di felt a deep need to live authentically and build something aligned with her values. In 2021, she founded Exceptional Care For You, a Melbourne-based provider of in-home care for people living with disabilities and older Australians. Her vision was clear: care would come first, not profit. “I had a theory that if we provided exceptional care to our clients, the money would follow, and we’ve proven that to be true,” Di explains. Today, that philosophy underpins a thriving business. Driven by Heart, Guided by Values Di’s approach is deeply personal. Her forty years as a nurse and her experience caring for her parents taught her that quality care, and the people delivering it, are everything. She had seen firsthand how profit-driven models compromised care, and she refused to accept that standard. “The standard of care we walk by is the standard of care we accept,” she says, and for Di, mediocrity was never an option. Starting with just one client, ECFY now employs 90 staff and serves 50 clients across metropolitan Melbourne. The company is widely respected for its client-focused approach, delivering care with compassion, dignity, and joy. Seeing Potential, Building People OneofDi’sgreateststrengthsisherinnateability to see the best in people, and their potential, even when they can’t see it themselves. She invests heavily in staff development, creating opportunities for growth and encouraging her team to stretch beyond their comfort zones. “I know what it feels like to be underestimated,” she says. “So I make sure my people feel valued and supported to become the best version of themselves.” Her leadership style is warm and approachable, infused with an incredible sense of humor that lightens even the toughest days. “Care is serious work, but laughter is essential,” Di says with a smile. Her generosity extends beyond her business as, now that she has achieved success, Di is passionate about giving back, whether through mentoring, community initiatives, or sharing her story to inspire others. What Sets Di Apart as a CEO Di measures success differently. In a world obsessed with KPIs and bottom lines, she prioritizes authenticity, integrity, and values. “I worked under many managers I didn’t want to emulate,” she reflects. “So while I knew what I didn’t want, I also began to define what I did want: honesty, respect, and a safe, compliant workplace.” ECFY is a values-driven business, anchored in compassion, teamwork, tolerance, excellence, and commitment. These principles aren’t just words on a wall—they’re woven into every stage of the employee journey, from interviews to daily operations. “My staff is like family,” Di says. “Without them, we wouldn’t have the success we enjoy. We invest heavily in our people and are rewarded in spades. I know that when I’m respected and valued, I thrive, so I assumed that would work for others.” Her assumption proved right: ECFY’s culture is one of mutual respect and shared purpose. Showing Up As Me For Di, authenticity means honesty always. It means owning mistakes, giving and receiving feedback openly, and never making promises that can’t be kept. Transparency extends to finances too: Di shares the company’s financial position with staff because she believes they have a right to know. This openness fosters trust and reinforces the sense of shared responsibility that defines ECFY. Always Planning For The Future Strategic thinking for Di involves any potential industry changes on the horizon that may affect the business, either negatively or positively. Recently she invested in the NDIS Registration process, knowing that there is a high likelihood this Registration will become mandatory for all providers. She also ensures that the business is not reliant on one funding stream, but has diverse services / products within the business. Di also does not settle with the status quo, if she can’t find something at the standard she requires she develops it herself. What’s Next for Di Geddes? After publishing her first book in 2025, Courage to Be Me, Di is ready for her next chapter. Her goals include continuing to develop her leadership skills, learning to delegate more effectively, and stepping into a broader role as a voice in the NDIS industry. Public speaking is high on her agenda— Best Disability & Aged Care Provider 2026 – Victoria & APAC Insider Home Care Excellence Award 2026 Defining Leadership on Her Own Terms

Australian Enterprise Awards 2026 | sharing her journey of resilience, reinvention, and values-driven leadership to inspire others in business and beyond. “I want to use my story to show that it’s never too late to start again,” Di says. “If I can help even one person believe in their potential, then I’ve done something worthwhile.” A Legacy of Care and Courage Di Geddes didn’t set out to be a CEO in the conventional sense. She set out to change the way care is delivered and, in doing so, she redefined leadership for herself and her team. Her story is one of resilience, generosity, and unwavering commitment to values. In a sector where profit often overshadows purpose, Di stands as proof that leading with heart can build not just a successful business, but a lasting legacy. Best Family-Owned Home Builder 2026 South East Queensland-based company, Callaway Homes, has been in the business of building quality homes for over 45 years. Working closely with clients to deliver exactly the home they want, where they want it, Callaway Homes has earned a reputation for quality construction, clear communication, and dependable outcomes. We chat with representative Jodie Bird to find out more. One of Australia’s fastest-growing regions, South East Queensland, continues to experience strong population growth, driving demand for new homes. With that demand comes complexity. Limited land supply in key areas, increased pressure on infrastructure, and shifting planning requirements in response to growth and changing community needs all influence what’s possible and where. Shaped by housing demand, regulatory change, and sustainability expectations, the residential construction industry in South East Queensland can be challenging to navigate. Add uncertainty around costs and skills shortages, and it’s easy to see why building companies fail. Fluctuating material prices, longer lead times and a lack of available contractors across key trades can also impact everything from scheduling to budgeting. In this environment, success requires longterm vision and an unwavering commitment to deliver above expectations. One company that’s found a winning formula is Callaway Homes. With over 60 years combined building experience, founders Mario Zaghini and Paul Bird have built one of the most sought-after building companies in South East Queensland. In partnership since 1977, the pair’s hands-on approach to reliable, high-quality outcomes remains in high demand. Working with a range of clients, including owner-occupiers, first-time buyers, investors, and joint venture partners, Callaway Homes derives a significant portion of its business from repeat clients and referrals. Jodie says: “The way our clients engage with us reflects the trust and long-term relationships we build. Our aim is always to deliver a seamless build experience and create homes that provide lasting value.” Offering services that include new build homes, custom and tailored builds, and turnkey investment solutions. Also providing project management and construction management, Callaway Homes presents a versatile solution to most building challenges. The company has extensive experience building on lots where other contract builders fear to tread, including sloping terrain, flooddeclared lots, and narrow strips of land presenting significant access constraints. Alongside its speciality turnkey homes, the company also offers one-off designs and collaborates with clients wishing to provide their own designs or architectural plans. Experienced in delivering homes with surface areas from 150 m2 to 400 m2, there are options to suit every budget and lifestyle. With values including quality, integrity, reliability, communication and partnership, it’s clear that Callaway Homes has built its business by putting the customer first. These values are present in all Callaway Homes’ day-to-day interactions with its clients. Quality comes from high standards at every stage and meticulous attention to detail. Integrity means practical, honest advice and upfront pricing, enabling clients to make confident decisions without feeling pressured or caught off guard. Reliability is reflected in strong accountability, consistent progress updates and following through on promises. Just as importantly, clear, easy communication keeps clients informed and reassured throughout the process. And partnership ensures a collaborative build, with everyone working toward the shared goal of delivering a quality outcome. Jodie tells us: “Our unique selling point is the way we combine our owner-led approach with strong project management and transparent communication. Our clients work directly with experienced builders who take full ownership of each project. This enables us to deliver on our promises and provides a smooth, stressfree building experience.” Working only with trusted contractors and long-standing trade partners, the company maintains exacting standards. Planning procurement early and managing projects hands-on, Callaway Homes protects budgets and minimises potential delays. Challenges are identified proactively at the beginning of a project, ensuring potential issues are managed early, before they become problematic. This makes the process straightforward and gives clients confidence and peace of mind that all bases have been covered. By staying informed, adaptable, and personally involved in every project, the company ensures its clients experience certainty and confidence from start to finish. With demand favouring well-designed, practical homes that offer long-term value, Callaway Homes’ position in the market seems assured. Its focus on delivering quality

Australian Enterprise Awards 2026 | 17 residential builds that suit real lifestyles and represent a sound investment is unlikely to go out of fashion. However, the company is not about to sit on its laurels. With industry challenges always appearing on the horizon, Callaway Homes continues to refine its processes, strengthen partnerships, and improve the way it delivers projects. With a focus on transparency, accountability, and quality outcomes, the company has become adept at turning uncertainty into structured, well-managed builds that clients can trust. Quality construction and thoughtful design often go hand in hand. And one ever-evolving challenge in residential construction is sustainability. Continually seeking ways to improve comfort, reduce running costs and enhance long-term value, Callaway Homes strives to incorporate smart material choices and energy-efficient principles into its projects. Across the industry, rising sustainability expectations are reshaping how homes are designed, built, and future-proofed. In South East Queensland, sustainability comes with its own set of considerations. Hot, humid summers and intense UV exposure, heavy rainfall and storm seasons put homes under pressure year-round. As the region continues to grow, building smarter has become essential for reducing energy demand, improving resilience, and supporting longterm liveability. Practical design decisions, such as improved insulation, passive ventilation, solar-ready roofing, and water-wise fixtures, can make a meaningful difference to both environmental impact and everyday comfort. By focusing on performance-led construction and materials suited to the local climate, Callaway Homes helps homeowners enjoy cooler interiors, lower utility bills and homes designed to last. Jodie explains: “Our reputation relies on doing what we say we will do. By remaining hands-on, client-focused, and detail-driven, Callaway Homes continues to deliver highquality residential projects with clarity, consistency, and confidence. In short, homes our clients are proud to own.” Contact: Jodie Bird Company: Callaway Homes Qld Web Address: https://www.callawayhomes. com.au/

Caring Queensland is a registered NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provider operating across the Wide Bay region, including Hervey Bay and Maryborough. It delivers personalised support to people aged 5 to 100 who are living with a wide range of disabilities, including intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, acquired brain injury, Cerebral Palsy, diabetes, and physical disabilities. In light of Caring Queensland’s success within the Australian Enterprise Awards 2026, we speak to General Manager John Hill to learn more about its outstanding service offering. Caring Queensland provides an extensive range of services to the highest standard, including daily living support, community access and participation, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), allied health and therapy services, support coordination, independent living skills development, medication support and administration, domestic assistance, transport to healthcare appointments, aged care, and a 24-hour in-house emergency on-call service. Within the delivery of these services, Caring Queensland embeds core values of Respect and Recognition, ensuring each participant’s home is treated as their private space and sanctuary, and their choices are weaved throughout the support they receive; Determination, staying focused on helping people to achieve meaningful outcomes, not just maintaining the status quo; Knowledge, with skilled, welltrained staff and a modern approach to disability support; Community, remaining grounded in the needs of the Wide Bay region and promoting genuine social inclusion; and Professionalism, ensuring strong governance, compliance with NDIS and legislative requirements, and relentlessly delivering high standards of care. By combining these values within its daily operations, Caring Queensland ensures that all clients receive “Your Support Your Way” – Care that is authentic, safe, dignified, and truly tailored to their personal needs. “We deliver the professional standards of a large corporate provider with accessibility, warmth, and responsiveness of a locally owned service – and that approach has been recognised nationally,” says John. “Caring Queensland has been awarded Most Outstanding Provider of Accessible Person-Centred Care in Australia for 2023/24 and 2025, and Disability Support Network of the Year for 2024/25 and 2026. Those awards reflect what families and participants already know about us: we are local, we are present, and we are genuinely committed to Your Support Your Way.” The team work within a high-risk, highly regulated environment, but they are unfalteringly calm, respectful, and solutions-focused in the care they provide, never rushed or transactional. It is all about consistency, visibility, and accountability, with this including leaders always being accessible, and a 24/7 in-house on-call system that isn’t run by a call centre but individuals who actually know its participants and staff. Caring Queensland recruits its team members thoughtfully, handpicking people according to their values and temperament, and rigorously screening them via NDIS Worker Screening, police checks, reference checks, and qualification and medication competency checks, where required. When hiring, the organisation looks for qualities including respect and humility, reliability and steadiness, good judgement and communication, willingness to learn, and team mindset. “These qualities directly underpin our achievements,” states John. “They are the reason we can safely support people with high and complex needs in the community, maintain strong relationships with families and referrers, and expand into aged care and allied health while still being trusted as a stable, person-centred provider.” The organisation also prioritises staf f development. Knowing that good care only comes from well-supported workers, it invests heavily in nurturing and retaining its team. This comes in the form of strong induction and shadowing for every new team member, introducing them gradually to clients, policies, and expectations, while accompanied by an experienced staff member; ongoing training and clinical guidance, focusing on behaviour support, medication, safeguarding, documentation, and condition-specific knowledge relevant to disability and aged care; regular supervision and debriefing by team leaders and managers so they aren’t left to carry difficult shifts alone; clear career pathways, with opportunities to progress into senior support worker, team leader, or coordinator roles, and to connect with its expanding allied health and aged care services as they develop their skills; and actively acknowledging good practice, sharing positive participant feedback with teams, and responding to complaints in a way that is constructive rather than disciplinary. John comments, “By recruiting the right people, holding them to high professional standards, and then genuinely looking after them, we create a workforce that is both compassionate and dependable. That, more than anything else, is what allows Caring Queensland to maintain its reputation and keep delivering Your Support Your Way as we grow.” Caring Queensland matches its staff to participants according to their personality, communication style, culture, interests, and the nature of support they can provide, such as complex medical needs, behaviours of concern, community access, aged care, and allied health. From there, they are expected to fulfil NDIS and legislative requirements, maintain clear documentation, respond promptly to concerns, and treat feedback and complaints as opportunities to improve. “With our clients, we aim to achieve more than basic maintenance of the day-to-day life,” explains John. “We want people to feel safe, respected, and genuinely in control of their own support. Our goal is to help participants build independence, confidence, and connection – whether that is learning new skills at home, engaging in the community, preparing for work or study, or simply living with dignity and choice. Ultimately, we measure our success by whether participants and their families can say, “I am heard, I am respected, and my life is better because Caring Queensland is in it.”” Ultimately, it is easy to see how Caring Queensland has come to be such a renowned, award-winning business, with its commitment to delivering exceptional care and looking after its staff. With repeated awards recognition and glowing client feedback, this shows the organisation’s high standards are not just one-off – but they are embedded deeply within the way it operates. Next, the organisation has some exciting plans ahead, with John sharing, “Over Disability Support Network of the Year 2026 - Queensland

Australian Enterprise Awards 2026 | 19 the next few years, Caring Queensland is focused on measured growth with the same person-centred, local approach that has already been recognised through our national awards. Our immediate priority is to consolidate our position as a leading disability provider while expanding into two closely aligned areas: aged care, bringing our award-winning, person-centred disability model into services for older people, and opening a new Allied Health Hub in Maryborough, with two full-time and one part-time occupational therapists, designed to service Wide Bay and, in time, potentially Gympie, the Sunshine Coast, and Burnett.” He concludes, “Across all this, our aim remains the same: to ensure people in our regions can access high-quality, locally delivered support without having to move away, sit on endless waitlists, or rely on transient providers. By growing carefully into aged care and allied health, we are building a joined-up, lifelong support pathway so that clients and families can stay with a provider they know and trust as their needs change over time.” Company name: Caring Queensland Pty Ltd Contact name: John Hill Website: www.caringqld.com.au
