Australian Enterprise Awards 2026

Australian Enterprise Awards 2026 | 57 Based in Ipswich, Queensland, Your Unique Support Services is an award-winning NDIS Intermediary. Founded by Director Tina Watkinson, the organisation has rapidly become a cornerstone of the local disability community. Recognised for its “people-first” approach, the organisation is dedicated to building a future grounded in respect, connection, and the belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive. Tina tells us more as the organisation gains recognition in the Australian Enterprise Awards 2026. Your Unique Support Services (YUSS) launched in August 2023 with a clear mission: to simplify the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) journey for participants and their families. Today, the organisation proudly serves NDIS participants who seek independence, choice, and control but often face challenges navigating the administrative and coordination aspects of their plans. The success of YUSS is a testament to the high demand for personalised, ethical disability support. After starting as a remote operation, the company reached a milestone in March 2025 by opening its first dedicated office in Ipswich. This physical space transformed the business, providing a collaborative hub for a team that has expanded to include Support Coordinators and Plan Management experts. YUSS serves a diverse demographic, from families and carers seeking to ease their administrative burdens to individuals with physical, intellectual, psychosocial, and sensory disabilities. By offering two core services - Plan Management (financial administration) and Support Coordination (connecting participants with providers) - YUSS acts as a bridge between a participant’s goals and the tools required to help achieve them. What truly distinguishes YUSS in such a competitive sector is its steadfast commitment to the four core values of Integrity, Empathy, Communication, and Follow-Through. YUSS focuses on the holistic wellbeing of the individual, upholding its reputation by being transparent, reliable, and deeply empathetic, as Founder and Director Tina Watkinson explains: “We don’t see people as cases or numbers; we see them as human beings,” she begins. “This person-centred approach goes beyond paperwork and funding. Yes, we help clients navigate the logistics of their NDIS plans, but we also care deeply about their overall wellbeing, their mental health, social connections, and sense of belonging in the community. “We make it our mission to walk alongside our clients every step of the way, guiding them, simplifying processes, and taking the stress out of “the system.” Our clients know they can trust us because we deliver on our promises with clarity and compassion.” Another unique selling point for YUSS is its internal culture. Built upon a “conversations first” philosophy, and when seeking new team members the aim is to find individuals with genuine compassion, patience, and often, lived experience. This empathetic approach creates an environment of emotional safety, where staff support one another through turmoil that naturally accompanies this line of work. It is this “support family” atmosphere that translates directly into the high-quality care that clients receive. The NDIS landscape is currently undergoing major transformation, Tina tells us. From the introduction of ‘Foundational Supports’ to the NDIS Amendment (Integrity and Safeguarding) Bill 2025, the sector is moving toward stricter compliance and greater transparency. While these shifts can cause issues for participants, YUSS views them as an opportunity to lead by example. The agency has turned the challenge of increasing compliance into a market differentiator. By maintaining rigorous adherence to the NDIS Code of Conduct and proactively educating clients on policy shifts, YUSS ensures that participants never feel left behind. Although YUSS is only in its third year of operation, its impact has been felt throughout the Queensland business landscape, and 2024 and 2025 saw the organisation receive an impressive list of honours, including: Winner of the Most Innovative Support Services Team in Australia; Winner of Outstanding Specialised Business and Outstanding Business Person of the Year; and recognitions for Best Customer Service and Outstanding Small Business across both Ipswich and Springfield. Now, in 2026, the organisation is proud to add two further accolades to the trophy cabinet, courtesy of the Australian Enterprise Awards, namely Best NDIS Intermediary Service Provider 2026 – Queensland, and the Community Impact Excellence Award 2026. These awards further validate the YUSS mission: that efficiency and transparency can coexist alongside deep empathy and understanding. As YUSS looks ahead for the rest of the year, the focus is very much on shifting from service delivery to community building. The agency is preparing to launch innovative initiatives that foster social connection and capacity-building, moving past the “traditional” NDIS role to create spaces where participants feel seen and valued. “2026 will be a year of transformation,” Tina shares. “While we can’t reveal all the details yet, we can say that the team at YUSS is committed to being a leader in inclusion. We’re building something that will bring people together, strengthen community ties, and redefine what support looks like in a changing landscape. Our vision is bold, and our passion for making a difference is stronger than ever. “The future isn’t just about adapting, it’s about thriving, growing, and creating spaces where every person feels valued. That’s the legacy we’re working toward.” Contact: Tina Watkinson Company: Your Unique Support Services Web Address: https://yuss.au Best NDIS Intermediary Service Provider 2026 – Queensland & Community Impact Excellence Award 2026 Your Unique Support Services
