Sword Active Risk Looking to Expand Business in Australia
Customer service a key focus as Sword Active Risk grows business to meet industry demand for risk management
Sword Active Risk, a supplier of risk management software and services, has hired David Harvey as Business Account Director for Australia, supporting the company’s expansion in the region and building on its existing customer base. In the new role Harvey will be responsible for leading Sword Active Risk’s customer and business strategy across the region, a significant growth area for the company. Harvey joins Sword Active Risk from CAMMS, based in Melbourne, Victoria, where he held the position of Risk Management Sales Specialist.
Harvey is an experienced professional with a background in IT and sales, working both with and for enterprise level organizations in many industry sectors, including banking and financial services, utilities, government and manufacturing. Prior to CAMMS he was Regional Manager for Unite Safety Solutions in Victoria and previously held the position of Business Development Manager for Cura Software Solutions and for Software AG. A trained Microsoft Certified Sales Professional, Harvey also has qualifications in Risk Management, Work Health and Safety and High Availability Infrastructure and Software solutions.
Nick Scully, COO of Sword Active Risk commented; “David’s experience brings the business, industry and technical expertise that our customers require when deploying risk management software in high profile, complex projects. His understanding and experience of implementing strategic solutions across an enterprise, particularly in high risk industries, will be invaluable in supporting our fast growing customer base in Australia.”
David Harvey said; “Risk management is now higher up the corporate agenda and being adopted by risk professionals and business users across many new industries, not just traditionally risk conscious sectors like oil and gas. Sword Active Risk is leading the fast growing field of risk management, and I’m looking forward to this great opportunity as we expand in the region.”
Sword Active Risk recently hosted the final event of its 2015 Global Customer Conference Series in Sydney, Australia, which was attended by risk professionals from across the country. The series of events, held also in Doha, London and Washington DC, provided industry speakers, examples of risk management best practice, free training with Active Risk Manager experts and an opportunity to network with industry peers. Sword Active Risk was also a key sponsor at the Infrastructure Project Risk Management Summit 2015 held in Sydney in July.
