About
Manesis Fitness
With a lifelong interest in sports, health and nutrition it was a natural progression to start a business where I can share my knowledge and skills to help others lose weight, get fit, and feel comfortable in their own body.
My own story has been a path of discovery – from a champion amateur boxer, to an overweight, junk food addict distracted by fame, money & brushes with the law, to a professional boxer ranked in the top 10 in the world – I’ve experienced the highs & lows of life, but have turned my fortunes around to the point where I can now help others.
In 2001 I weighed 134 kilos but with a lot of resolve, hard work & encouragement from friends, family and Team Fenech I shed 53 kilos in seven months and walked into the ring to fight for the Australian Light Heavyweight title. I lost on a split decision but was able to prove to my supporters that their faith in me was justified.
Since that time I have acquired formal qualifications in strength and conditioning with Australian strength and conditioning association level 1 personal training from the Fitness Institute of Australia (Cert 3 & 4), as well as a Diploma in Fitness, a Cert 4 Module in Exercise for Children & Adults from Westmead Hospital, and completed three courses in nutrition from the Canberra Ecology Centre. I have also completed courses in Power Plate Fitness and Performance.
I opened Femme Physique in 2012 to help women, young adults and children lose weight through exercise and nutrition - but over time, as more men and children came to me, referred by their wives, girlfriends and mothers, I changed to name to Manesis Fitness so I could include everyone.
I have been successful in helping overweight & obese people, who spent years at the gym, lose the weight they want in as little as four months.
Every day I am inspired by my clients, my wife, three sons & God to help others. I love a challenge & believe I have found the key to weight loss success – please view the testimonials on my website
