5 Top NDIS Registered Cleaning Services in Australia

For many NDIS participants, a clean home is about more than appearances. It means safer floors, a hygienic kitchen and bathroom, and more energy left for work, family and community life. But choosing a cleaning provider can be harder than it looks, especially when your plan is NDIA-managed or you want the extra assurance that comes with registration.

To make the search easier, we have shortlisted five ndis registered cleaning services from across Australia. Each provider listed here appeared as approved on the NDIS Commission’s provider register under the Household Tasks registration group at the time of writing. We have chosen one provider per major city, plus one with a national reach.

Why NDIS Registration Matters When Choosing a Cleaner

Registered providers have been assessed against the NDIS Practice Standards. They are also listed on the NDIS Commission’s public register, which lets participants and families check their status.

Registration matters most for NDIA-managed participants. If the NDIA manages your plan, you can only use registered providers. Self-managed and plan-managed participants have more choice and can also use unregistered providers.

How We Chose These Providers

Every provider on this list met three basic criteria:

  • approved status on the NDIS Commission’s provider register
  • registration under the Household Tasks group, which covers cleaning
  • an established base in a major Australian city

Always check the register yourself before booking, as registration details can change.

1. Absolute Domestics (Brisbane, Servicing Nationally)

Website: absolutedomestics.com.au

Based in Cleveland in Brisbane’s bayside, Absolute Domestics has been matching households with cleaners for more than 32 years. While its head office is in Queensland, it services suburbs nationally through a network of more than 30 local Area Coordinators. That makes it a strong option for participants in capital cities and many regional areas.

NDIS cleaning booked through Absolute Domestics is billed by its related company, Clean Homes Pty Ltd, a registered NDIS provider. This means it can work with NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants. For plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants, invoices go straight to the plan manager or the NDIA.

Key features include:

  • police-checked, vetted cleaners
  • $20 million public liability cover, plus accident cover for cleaners
  • no lock-in contracts, so you can change, pause or cancel at any time
  • the option to keep the same cleaner each visit
  • a real person to call, rather than a call centre or chatbot

Cleaning can be tailored to each participant, from vacuuming and bathrooms to laundry, ironing and changing bed linen.

2. Clean Group (Sydney)

Website: clean-group.com.au

Clean Group is a Sydney-based cleaning company with its office in the CBD. It has been operating for more than 20 years and covers most Sydney suburbs.

Its NDIS services include home cleaning, laundry, carpet cleaning, decluttering and garden maintenance. Visits can be daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or one-off. The company highlights ISO-accredited cleaning processes and says it uses full-time cleaners rather than contractors.

Clean Group also does a lot of commercial cleaning, so participants may want to confirm which team will handle their home.

3. Clean & Personal (Melbourne)

Website: cleanandpersonal.com.au

Clean & Personal is a family-run business based in Doncaster East, in Melbourne’s east. It has been operating since 1993 and has been a registered NDIS provider since 2019, supporting participants across Melbourne.

Its household support goes beyond cleaning, covering tidying, linen services, in-home cooking and general upkeep. It is also registered for home modifications and has an in-house registered builder who works with occupational therapists. That makes it a useful option for participants who need help with both cleaning and changes around the home. NDIS-funded modifications can range from grab rails to home lifts.

Clean & Personal works with NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants.

4. OCD Brilliance (Perth)

Website: ocdbrilliance.com.au

OCD Brilliance is a family-owned NDIS provider serving Perth’s northern suburbs, from the coast to Midland. Founded in 2018, it covers areas including Joondalup, Wanneroo, Stirling, Ellenbrook and Midland.

Alongside cleaning and domestic assistance, it offers support work, transport and other NDIS supports. Its team members hold NDIS Worker Screening Checks and police clearances. The business focuses on consistent worker matching and uses organic, chemical-free cleaning products.

Participants south of the river should confirm coverage before booking, as its focus is on the northern suburbs.

5. HomeAid Services (Adelaide)

Website: homeaidservices.com.au

HomeAid Services is a family-owned Adelaide provider that supports NDIS, aged care, DVA and private clients. It covers Adelaide’s northern, western and eastern suburbs.

Its cleaning services range from regular home cleaning and domestic assistance to deep cleans, carpet cleaning and window cleaning. Staff are police-checked and the business is fully insured. It brings its own equipment and supplies, and offers weekly, fortnightly or one-off visits.

HomeAid works directly with self-managed and plan-managed participants. NDIA-managed participants should confirm their options before booking.

Questions to Ask Before You Book

Whichever provider you choose, a few questions can help you find the right fit:

  • Are you registered, and can I check your listing on the NDIS Commission register?
  • Can you work with how my plan is managed?
  • Will I usually have the same cleaner each visit?
  • Are your cleaners police-checked and insured?
  • Is there a lock-in contract or minimum booking?
  • Who do I contact if I need to reschedule or raise a concern?

Finding the Right Fit

The best NDIS cleaning provider is the one that fits your needs, your plan and your home. Registration gives you a useful starting point, but trust, reliability and good communication matter just as much.

Take your time, ask questions and don’t be afraid to try a provider for a few visits before committing. A good cleaner should make your home easier to live in, and your week a little lighter.
